Laura Ross - I am a Yoga teacher, Personal Trainer and fitness class instructor with more than a decade of experience, working with various body types, injuries, age groups and conditions. I run, cycle, weight lift, paddle board, wild swim and hill walk regularly and exercise is my passion. I have practiced yoga for over 25 years and qualified as a Yoga teacher in Rishikesh, India “the home of Yoga”, 5 years ago. Since then, I have been teaching Hatha, Vinyasa and Yin classes. I am passionate about the mental and physical benefits to be gained through a regular exercise and yoga practice. With years of experience working as a Personal Trainer and class instructor, I offer a considered and informed class environment. Modifications and alternative exercises and yoga poses are provided for all abilities; using my deep understanding of the human anatomy and experience gained through years of teaching.
Catherine McCabe - I’ve been a yoga and Pilates teacher for more than 8 years. I started practicing yoga in the 1980s, and Pilates in 2003. After many years working as a university and school teacher, in 2011 I began training in order to combine my love of teaching, yoga and Pilates. I hold Yoga Scotland’s 500hrs Teaching Diploma, Pilates Union’s CYQ Level 3 Diploma, the BWY Yoga for Pregnancy qualification, and Healing Space certification in Yoga for people living with cancer. Pilates and yoga have had a transformative impact on my own health and wellbeing, so I love to share them with others – particularly those who may have previously assumed it’s not for them. My teaching has been described as down-to-earth, thorough, knowledgeable – and fun! I am passionate about creating an accessible, friendly and safe atmosphere in my classes, so people can progress confidently at the level and pace best for them.
You can find lots more information about me, my qualifications and teaching at my website, catherinemccabeyoga.wordpress.com.
Rosemary Forest - After a 30 year career in IT, I decided to follow my dreams and retrained in 2019 as a Fitness Instructor. I am a qualified Exercise to Music teacher as well as Group Indoor Cycling. During the first Lockdown I also added Step to my portfolio and qualified as an Older Adults coach. At the Sports Club, I teach a Fit4Life Class - primarily aimed at older adults, but suitable for all ages and in particular those who have never exercised before, or not for a long time. I also teach Group Indoor Cycling and Salsa Aerobics.
